Don't be surprised/upset if they don't want to
participate. My son will be three in November, and he
paints when he wants to, not always when the rest of
the class is painting. Yes, this is when they learn to
hold scissors, experiment with gluing, holding
brushes, mixing colors, etc. Also, playdoh is good,
cutting out shapes and making textures in it. I've
seen dried playdoh textures glued to paper. Most kids
are at the organized doodling stage, maybe still
scribbling. My son likes to draw circles.
