Thanks so much for the advice. I had a talk with both of my middle school
classes yesterday. I have the sixth graders assigned seats, and it worked well.
 Today I'm assigning seats to the 7th/8th graders. Since my sixth graders
were so much better, I'm surprising them today by allowing them to listen to
some classical music during class. Today I'm going to start enforcing my rules
no matter what. I hate to say it, but I have a feeling I'll have to send a few
to the behavior log. I know I need to start showing that I meant everything
I said yesterday.
