[teacherartexchange] BBC's greatest painting in Britain survey

The BBC has launched a survey to determine the greatest painting in Britain.
Go to this site to view the shortlist that has been compiled from initial
responses from the public. From this list you may vote for the painting you
think is the greatest.

What a good springboard to classroom discussion about the characteristics of
"the greatest painting." Who should decide such a thing? Or is it even a
good thing to label art this way? Many, many avenues to explore with this.
