Re: [teacherartexchange] Quiet spot?

That's what I'm thinking. Our principal suggested that we have a desk in the
back with a behavior book so that when kids act up, they can sit at the desk
and write what they have done. I thought about maybe making it both...My
desks are long tables, so I won't really have an actual desk to put there. I
could always bring in a small table or simply have a bean bag seat or
something...maybe make this area the same place where there are library books. I'm not
sure...I thought I could call it the "thinking corner" or something along those
lines...a place where they can go to think about why their behavior in
unacceptable, as well as a place where they may go when they are stressed out or
upset, or simply a place to sit when they are frustrated with a project. I guess
a lot of this is trial and error!
