I designed a color theory lesson where kids invented and recorded their own
color formula and then named it. One student "invented" a red-based color and
named it "Meghan" because it was the color of her best friend's hair!
Color names are a great way to have a discussion with little ones about color
theory. As for yellow-green, green yellow....well...I have to
say...sometimes yellows can be a little greenish...and greens can be a little
yellowish...and I would not say they are the same color.
