I've used
Arttalk as a text
in my intro to
studio classes. I
find it has been
a helpful way
to help me
organize what I
teach. I like the
text and the
images. The
students still
have a difficult
time with the
concept that
"art" has a
"Textbook".
Since my
school has one
class set and 10
intro classes
this fall student
accountability
as far as
vandalism has
been a
problem. It's
especially nice
if its your first
time teaching
the class. I like
to also throw in
the Getty unit
on sculpture, I
think that that
section in
Arttalk isn't as
strong.
