3D Stereographic Projections

I am trying to help out a student of mine who has been doing lots of digital work with computers ...i would appreciate any advice or information on sterographic projections ...the 3d effects and how to make images closer to the viewer with video similar to 3d shows that are shown like at Disney...using polarized glasses...what equipment is is needed...and when using 2 projectors -does it make a difference which is left eye polarization filter or right eye?...is there an altered effect when an audinence is on 2 levels when seeing 3d vidoe?....Help!!!!! Any info would be deeply appreciated.
