Hi Belinda,
For choral themes, the first things that come to mind are the choruses
of heavenly angels(some playing long trumpets) depicted in Renaissance
frescoes. Try Giotto or Piero della Frencesca. There are several artists of
the Dutch/Flemish Baroque period who did musical themes with
instruments...Vermeer, Hals, Leyster etc. For dance look to Matisse and the
designers for the Ballet Russe in Paris. I'll check my resources for more
ideas this weekend.
