Re: illustration class

I feel illustration is compositions using images that tell a story or help in
showing the meaning in an article or book. In advertising it is used to get
attention and to sell the product. Why not have them illustrate their name
using letters so you can incorporate text. Next they must choose images of
them, the things they like or something about their life. The images can be
inside the letters, outside, or both. Use mixed media with one media being in
color. The evaluation will be if the rest of the class will know it's them by the
images and letters used. You can find a lot of images and words used in
illustration portfolio's so I know it is used in the real world.

Just a thought.
