Re: help with teacher dress code: shoes

Definately agree with buying clothes at Wal-Mart. I got for natural cottons
or linen and the price is always good. I don't feel as badly when I ruin a
$5.00 shirt (as I did last week) as I do when I ruin at $50 shirt. For student
teachers, kahkis, black chinos, simple skirts in solid colors (or prints
whatever) just be comfortable. The only thing I would not wear is jeans. But then
again, I can wear jeans at one of my schools, not a problem. I just try not
fall into that stereotype of "art teacher=slob=jeans=t-shirt" thing. Dressing
professionally makes others see me professionally. And I have gotten much
better at keeping clean!!! haha
