I seem to think value is very important too. That's why I'm sort of adapting
a lesson from A&A. I'm currently working on a value triptych where students in
7th first do a pencil value mountain range using simple shapes with lighter
values in the distance. No gradations just solid shapes of value. Then I
thought of translating this into another panel using tints and shades of one color.
Then a final panel using pen and ink hatching and patterns to create values.
They then get mounted in a horizontal strip.
Any thoughts on this?
