seventh grade painting project

   I'm looking for a snappy 7th grade painting project. ONe where they'll
learn color wheel and values and also one that usually turns out really nice. I
want it to be challenging, but not killer and I want to do it with tempera. I
was thinking of doing tempera resist because I still think its cool but I can't
seem to put together a lesson on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
