Re: 7th grade perspective

Date: Wed Aug 06 2003 - 10:07:26 PDT

It has been a long time since I taught 7th grade but I did introduce them to
1 pt perspective too. I began with teaching "drawing block Letters " and
progressing to 1 point perspective. Those who catch on and want a challenge try
to overlap their letters. All must produce an environment for their "name"
(futuristic or not). I have done this 2 ways- one with graphite on white paper
(they shaded too showing a light source and direction) and another time I did
it with white prismacolor on black paper (for variation). Both projects were
awesome- The kids were really proud of themselves.
