another phenomenal resource from pbs! found this doing a search for still life history info (a great site for that topic: http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~orrp/still/history.htm )
there is stuff on the first site about the history of animation, from cave painting to greek vases and on...; also contains story and story board development ideas, doggie facts and art, and a poignant story about the artist himself, who is from the czech republic. amazing!
