Re: teaching and motherhood

Date: Wed Aug 28 2002 - 17:42:08 PDT

I am going on my fifth month of pregnancy with my third child- and at an
"advanced maternal age" yet, as they say!! (I'm 37.) I know exactly how you
feel! Sometimes I come home so pooped that dinner and bath times seem like
the biggest chores in the world! I have found that a nice bath every night
after the kids are in bed relaxes me, and I make an effort to try and get
myself to bed extra early if I can by midweek if I am starting to
drag....that extra hour or so can really help! There have been quite a few
nights when I go to bed before my 11 year old daughter!! I try to drink lots
of water and milk. I keep a stool in my room (with extra padding) so I can
sit down every now and then, to rest. You are just coming out of the first
semester, so some of the tiredness will ease up a bit, too. Just remember to
try (ha!!) and rest as much as you can during the day. Easier said than
done, I know!!

Good luck!!!
