Check with your Principal first. We are strictly forbidden to use rubber
cement, cannot have it on campus at all.
Sincerely,
Kimberly Herbert

Jill,
Although I'm a new art teacher myself, starting after Labor Day also, I
can
tell you to keep some rubber cement around. As a previous Art Director I
used
rubber cement back in the pre-computer days in the studio. We watched a
lot
of new stuff come out to mount comps, but nothing works quite as well or
is
as permanent as rubber cement. Yeah, it''s probably very toxic, but keep
the
windows open, the kids out and don't breathe deeply. With all of those
years
around magic markers (old design type and AD) and rubber cement, I'm
still
reasonably healthy.
