i appreciate your point of view, but i'm dropping my association here in
tenn. this year. our contract isn't worth the paper it's written on. last
year we lost our music teacher due to budgeting problems, but this was one
month into the school year. my stance is: if they can come in and tell you,
"you don't have a job whenever" then the contract is worthless. at the very
least you should be allowed to finish the year. i went around asking what has
the association done for us and all i got was that we got a 20 minute duty
free lunch!! ooh, wow. i'd rather eat with the students....i'll be getting my
insurance through PET or my own homeowners this year. lots cheaper, no
political affiliations and the liability is covered.
just my 2 cents.
