Hi all,:
I am still in the first week of school. The kids come on Monday. I am at a
new school and happy about it. But...........today I got my schedule. I have
six classes which are block. Three one day, three the next. All the numbers
are about 33 until I got to 3rd period. This is a class of 27 art 2, 13 art
3, 2 art 4, and 1 AP art student. I almost had a heart attack!!!
I talked to the scheduler and it seems that so many are in that class because
when the counselors look at the numbers, they only see the numbers for 2's or
3's, etc. Anyway I offered her a couple of suggestions. One: Make the art 2's
a separate class. Two: remove the 4 and AP. She said no to both.
So, I talked to the vice principal who will "see what he can do." All I can
imagine is 43 high schoolers coming through my door on Monday.
Help!!! Any suggestions?
