We have some metal benches we are going to use outside our school. We are
going to paint them. I was told by a local sculptor ( Bob Doster) who works
in metals to -
1) primer coat the metal 2) lightly "rough up" the surface with a household
scouring pad 3) use water-based (easy clean up) latex. You can purchase the
paints in small cans at Home Depot, etc. 4) spray/paint (i think painting on
lasts longer) a clear acrylic sealer.
