JT,
You might try this glaze database search. I came up with two glazes at cone 06 by searching by cone. Have you thought of going to cone 6? Hope this helps.

Subject: Need good clear glaze recipe

My cone 06 clear glaze crazes like crazy. It's a Frit based glaze and
I've altered the recipe several different ways with little success. In
addition I've tried different clay bodies. It's been so long since my
college ceramics days that I'm stumped. Is anyone willing to share their
recipes with me? Maybe one with Neph. Syn. in it? (For some reason I have
a lot of Neph. Syn.) Maybe I can come across a better one.

I know the EASIEST solution is to just BUY commercial glazes... but
knowing what they cost and knowing what the raw chemicals cost, I can't
bring my self to spend the $$$ on premixed glazes! Am I a glaze snob?:)

Also...I need to break down and put some kiln wash on my shelves, but
can't remember what the heck kiln wash is made of! Is it just kaolin? Or
is there something else in there?

Thanks, JT
