We used those big black clips in a class sponsored by Memphis Arts Council
and they worked great...the teacher had hammers to make the holes by hitting
nails, and then while they were still clipped together, we sewed with
something that looked like really sturdy thread...and big-eyed
needles...worked wonderfully.
Can't wait to use it in a class sometime.
