I keep thinking about getting to the core of what's most important in
creating/teaching art -- just as the music educators helped others to see the
connection between music and math -- we art educators need to help others see
the connection between visual art and creative thinking (new buzzwords =
higher order thinking . . . check out the HOT schools in CT), decision making
and world views/multicultural appreciation.
I think this is the bigger picture beyond standards. What do y'all think?
