Re: pull 'em into the classroom....

I have no problem with recognition of the quality and
quantiy of my students art production. But my
administrators have no clue about the art history we
deal with, or the aesthetics or the criticism because
they never come to visit. Like I mentioned when shcool
let out in June, my evaluation took place at the school
secretary's desk with a "Sign here, you're doing fine."

And, I've tried making appointments for both
administrators to come in when I have planned a great
activity that I'm really proud of and they never show
up. There's always "an emergency."

I am planning to do what someone on the list suggested
for applying teachers. That is, meet with the pricipals
in the office and teach them a class. Maybe then all my
efforts will be recognized. Because, no matter how
detailed my lesson plans are, they do not read them.

So, I'll let you know how it all turns out. I have a
week to go before I have to show up.
