    what about Monet???? Wasn't he "the Father of Impressionism"? My students
    like the fact that he was a poor student but used his "obnoxious art"
    (caracatures of teachers and towns people ) in a positive way...and his
    rebel attitude to develop a new type of
    art.....................................
