Re: To wipe or not to wipe - that is the question

.....about wiping bisque ware before glazing.......I always have them do it.
I cut up little sponges and wet them...it gives the younger students time to
really look at their pieces--then I tell them while they are wiping the dust
off their art work they get a chance to "really look at their ceramic piece
and think about what color glazes they want". This eliminates all the
"ummmmms" when they come up to the glaze table...they have already decided
their color choices!
