If there has already been discussion on this topic, I apologize but, I am
really excited about the museum trip I took today. Often, a famous work
doesn't meet our expectations when seen in its original form. That was not
the case as I viewed the Matisse & Picasso exhibit at the Kimball in Ft.
Worth, Texas today. I was very impressed with this show. I appreciated
Picasso's work but didn't really like much of it until I saw these
originals. His pieces had such intense color, often richer than that of
Matisse (which surprised me). I did not know about their friendship and
rivalry. I had never noticed a similarity in their work until I saw some
of the pieces placed side by side. If you have a chance to see it before
it ends on May 2, the show is well worth your time.
