As the arts have such potential to affect our students' ability to
communicate their emotions, the crisis in Littleton poses special concerns
for art educators. If any of you have seen books, videos, curriculum
resources, etc. that you think are useful tools (with an emphasis on the
arts) for teaching tolerance, non-violence, peace, or how to process grief,
please send me an email with the title, ISBN and publisher information. We
may want to carry some of these titles in our next catalog, so your comments
and recommendations are welcome. I will collect everyone's responses and
post them to the list sometime in the next two weeks. Anyone who has
developed his or her own curriculum in this area is invited to submit a
publication proposal also. Please contact me directly through email if this
applies to you. [Publication proposal information can be found at
Thank you for your suggestions.
