You may all be comforted to know that under the most recent revision of
the Copyright Act (1978, I think) you don't need to have a "copyright"
label on your work for it to be protected by copyright! It's helpful in
terms of minimum punitive damages and I think you actually have to
register before you can sue someone, but I don't think someone is legally
allowed to take your stuff, even off this list, and publish it without
your permission.
