Mother's Day Portraits

Here's an easy idea I shared with another loop I'm on. They're all
talking about Mother's Day right now, which made me think it might be of
interest to those of you working with kids of any age (even
highschool!). I know as a mother I would LOVE to receive a portrait drawn
or painted by my child.

For Mother's Day, I have found that moms enjoy getting a "portrait" of
the mom and child together, painted or drawn by the child. Then I get
some free matte board from a framing shop, and matte each portrait. (Ist
it matte or mat??) (BTW, I cover each portrait with Saran Wrap so it has
a plastic film over
it to protect it from drools and spills. This is usually something moms
keeps forever.
