I always have a hard time keeping up with and reading all of the messages,
so that I usually don't reply because I'm way too late, but I have to
remark on all the bad feelings to Mary Ann.

I for one love her books and was and am very happy to have her on the list.
I use her book about Great Artists all of the time, if not for ideas about
what or how to teach, but to show it to other elementary teachers who come
to me for ideas or for quick information about a certain artist. I guess
when I show them the quick bios that Mary Ann compiled, I am stealing from
her in that I don't make the teacher go and buy the book? We are all
sharing ideas and want art to be rewarding for the students and encouraged
by the other teachers. Many teachers out there are intimidated by art. So
thank you Mary Ann for your books and keep them coming! And I for one would
be flatered if I had something to contribute!

A parent came and asked me for help about what to do artistically for her
kids over the summer since they couldn't come to my summer art camp and I
showed her the book. She was really grateful to have something that she
could use!

For what it's worth....
