This weekend I remembered a great "how to" that was in Family Fun magazine a
few years ago. Here is the gist, I'm sure youall can take it from here.

Pasteur of Paris
funnel
clean empty squeeze bottles that can be discarded
Washtub of water
Balloons

Mix Plaster of Paris, a little thinner than usual, thin enough to go through
a squeeze bottle like for dish soap. Put in bottle with funnel.
Squeeze immediately into balloons. With the wet plaster in the balloon,
inflate the balloon the size you want your egg. tie shut.
Place the partially inflated balloon into the washtub of water, where it
should float. turning the knot end of the balloon, spin the balloon around
and around, so the plaster is evenly distributed. Keep spinning until the
plaster is set. When the eggs are hard, remove from the water and peel off
the balloon. You may need to sand the narrow end a bit to smooth it out,
then you can spatter paint them and they look so real!
