Below is an address for the Kosovo Emergency site via the United Methodist
GBGM's ecumenical efforts serving the refugees. They have worked in
conjunction with several other organizations (no proselytizing involved) in
the area for a long time and 100% of all donations go to the project, 0 to
administrative costs. A very useful thing about this site is the
instructions on making medical kits and hygiene kits which are desperately
needed. These kits are always designed with items the local people know and
can use in their current situation. (this is important, if anybody was
involved in the "sending food to Russia" project a few winters ago and read
about confused Siberians with cases of peanut butter and instant lemonade
and they had no idea what it was). All such items are shipped from the Sager
Brown warehouse in Louisiana.

The ACT "Action By Churches Together" link (down in the text) will take you
to a site that includes links to many many of the humanitarian groups
co-operating in the area, as well as timelines and maps.

Whenever there is war or natural disaster or famine, this GBGM site always
has current information about relief efforts/needs. It is a good reminder
that just because there is a war, the hurricane relief in Central America is
still going on, etc. We have short attention spans when it comes to other
people's misery.
