I wondered about this kind of thing when I first subscribed to this
newsgroup, whether I should submit anything that did not have at least a
"poor-person's" copyright. (you do this by sending the material you wish to
protect to yourself by registered mail and then filing it--WITHOUT OPENING
IT). However, like so many of us silly artist types, I turned a blind,
trusting eye.
Unfortunately, it makes me less apt to contribute or even consider
unsubscribing to the list altogether. Getty had a good thing going here.
It's too bad. Online trust is a difficult thing to restore.
I guess I can look at it this way. She just blew it with the very people she
is attempting to sell books to.
