As some of you may know, part of what I do here at CRIZMAC is write articles
on art & cultural topics for submission to state newsletters and to post on
our web site. (Thank you newsletter editors for your interest and support!)
Every two months or so we will have a new topic for you to read and consider
as part of your curriculum plans for the school year. I have also archived
the Previous Newsletters on the site so that you may reference them easily
and read some you may have missed.

The April/June 1999 Special Topic Newsletter Article on CRIZMAC's web site,
"Recording Community History through Murals: Diego Rivera's Murals in Mexico
City and Cuernavaca," is now posted. The article includes a lesson idea for a
design project that explores the relationship between the function of
architecture and a mural's meaning. The article also has a link to the Diego
Rivera web museum, with images of his famous murals and other works.

You can always access the current Newsletter Article at
www.crizmac.com/Newsletter.html, or through the link on our home page. You
are free to print (or copy and paste) the article and use it however you wish
as long as you include the byline and copyright date. I am always interested
in any suggestions you may have about topics to explore in the future or how
you would like to see our web site expand to meet your needs. Your feedback
is appreciated!

P.S. --Stay tuned to the site over the summer... I am planning to post more
