Dear Linda,
I haven't seen these posted yet. So here you go-
Lots of resources for castles. I'm not sure what age you are doing.
I just completed an architecture unit with my 4 and 5 year olds.
Here are a few books I used for castles.
I got them at the Library:
The Nature Company Discoveries Library-"Great Buildings"-ISBN
0-8094-9371-3
This covers many different cultures including Mexico,Egypt,-through
modern buildings.

See Through History with clear(transparency) pages which you can
flip and see the inside of-"Forts and Castles"by:Brian
Williams-0-670-85898-6
This covers castles in many different lands. He also has a great
book called Houses and homes in the same series. There are several
titles in the series.

My favorite one for young when it comes to integrating activities
is-
Knights and Castles(50 hands on activities to experience the middle
ages by Avery Hart and Paul Mantell-Isbn-1-885593-17-1. It's great
to get the mind churning once you see the other activities.

Here is a great web site with lots and lots of links!!!!!
http://www.castlesontheweb.com/
try to visit some local castles if you are near any. We actually
have one here in OHIO.
