Hi,
I've been reading with great interest all the comments about mainstreaming and
inclusion of children with disabilities into art classes for the last couple of
days. I really like all the positive stories and strategies for successful
inclusion. It is easy to see that there are many creative and wonderful teachers
in many schools ensuring that the arts are important to all children.

I work for a federally funded project called the Expressive Arts Outreach
Project and we offer workshops on integrating the Expressive Arts into early
childhood programs Our goals include enhancing the knowledge and skills of
professional staff and the families of children with disabilities and serving as
a national resource for adapting art materials and products for young children
with disabilities.
