Hi Rosa and all --
I remember from one of my grad classes years ago how strongly our professor
felt about not labelling kids -- emotionally disturbed, learning disabled,
etc. She said the child is a child first, someoone who has disabilities or
developmental delays or whatever. So she made us always say, for example,
"kids with disabilities" instead of "disabled kids". Food for thought ... !
