I am a visual arts teacher at an elemenatry school -
We (music and art )have always integrated as much as possible with the
classroom curriculum...but, the music teacher and I worked on several groups
from a specific music/art perspective.
Ex: A third grade class was studying the planets, so we met the first week in
the music room and listened to music to represent each planet....
The students brainstormed descriptive words the music "conquered up" in their
heads and we listed on the board.....
For the next class we met in the art room and again listened to the music and
went over the words we had came up with....
The students selected a planet and drew their representations with oil
pastels and then painted over with a watercolor wash,,,
