A good passage is the one at the Chicago O'Hare Airport going to the United
terminal - overhead neon art and electronic sounds that change as you pass
underneath, and multicolored glass walls that refer to the older deco block
glass in the passage from the airport to the train.
A favorite poem about passages is "Fog on Daniels Road" by Joseph Bruchac.
It's about driving into fog on a familiar road and wondering if he'll come
out where he expects or someplace completely new and unexpected.
