RE: paper mobiles

I would go with the poster board, just have it precut into manageable sizes.

I also have families save plastic lids (peanut cans, margarine, coffee cans
- it's flexible). I cut the rims off, and the kids can cut the remainder
into shapes. Make hole with a hole punch... Foam meat trays, too.

Remember when a mobile is made from the bottom up - you'll be more
successful at balancing asymmetrically. We usually start with pipe cleaners
for stringing and us bamboo skewers (w/o the points) for beams.
