This quote reminded me of something I have noticed recently. Sometimes I
hear horrible things about former art teachers, then I hear the most
wonderful praises about the SAME teacher from a different student. It has
made me realize that probably both great and terrible things are being said
about me too. I figure none of us is just the right person for every
student, and that doesn't make us a horrible teacher. Some students will
refuse to learn for any of a million strange reasons, maybe we remind them of
someone who has been cruel to them. I figure I can only try to be as
flexible as possible, get to know my students as well as I can, and reach
whoever will let me, and really enjoy it when it clicks just right. Am I
rambling? Ha! Karla
