My eighth graders are finishing up their stained glass windows (mosaic-style,
They wrapped the edges of their window glass with masking tape before gluing
on their colored glass pieces. Now after many days in the window the tape has
"cooked" itself onto the edges of the glass and virtually defies removal.
Most of the tape comes off with the help of an x-acto, but the leftover
adhesive is wicked (to use my students' word.) I tried rubbing a little
vegetable oil on (trying to keep this non-toxic) hoping to soften the
adhesive. Soften it did, however the residue just smears when we try to rub
it off. Any ideas on how to remove this nasty adhesive???
