Hi Gang,

I finally managed to get hold of some books that have good illustrations
of African crafts with explanations of their cultural significance.
If you cannot find these books in the States, I have arranged a deal
with the publishers. E-mail me privately if you are interested.

ISBN 1-86825-179-9 Zulu - Heritage of a Nation $53.00
ISBN 1-86825-425-9 Ndebele Art and Culture $16.00
ISBN 1-86825-424-0 Tribal Dress - Beadwork and
other Decorative Arts $16.00
These titles I have checked out and they are very good as far as
illustrations and explanations are concerned.

The following titles are available but I have not seen them myself, I
got the info off the publishers list.

Africa in colour series;
ISBN 1-86872-112-4 Ndebele $20.00
ISBN 1-86972-111-6 Xhosa $20.00
ISBN 1-86872-113-2 Zulu $20.00

Mini curio series;
ISBN 1-86825-848-3 Ndebele $15.00
ISBN 1-86872-177-9 Tribal Life$15.00
ISBN 1-86825-889-0 Zulu $15.00

These are all soft cover and the price includes postage and insurance.

There are some hardcover books available that would be suitable for
libraries, let me know if you require more info in this field.
All these books are from Struik, a local publisher. I am waiting to hear
from other publishers.

Let me know what you think
