Our Rainsticks turned out great.
Tubes from an upholserty shop. The cardboard is so thick and hard we had to
cut with a saw. We drilled holes moving down the tube in an spiral pattern
and screwed in with an electric screw driver dry wall screws just long enough
to reach the other side of the tube. We sealed the end with a circular piece
of brown paper bag fringed along the outer circumfrance to make it lay down
without wrinkling. Rubber bands held it while the glue soaked paper dried
hard. The tube was filled with a cup of 15 bean soup and a half cup of dry
They decorated them. We made varied lengths and they are wonderful.
