Yes as a matter of fact I do have a good E. Carle related
lesson. It started because we have a great eric c. video and
he is an author our students read a lot.
grade level-2nd. 1st art pd.
create beautiful papers-marbling, gadget printing, monoprint,
I usually set up stations, demonstrate and let them go at it. I do not tell
them what these beautiful papers are for.
Next lesson: watch the video done by E. Carle (he talks about his inspiration for his books and how he creates
hi beautiful collage papers.
What is a collage? explain. then pass back the student papers and cut the papers
they have created into their own picture. i usually ask them to keep it simple,
one large subject-perhaps animal, then fill space. One of my favorite lessons.
