Isn't that that most awful smell???!!!! And it just hangs in the air for such
a long time too. That has happened to me--the paint was old (but not that
old!) and was rotting. I never knew paint rotted, I always thought it just
dried out! Now, whenever I know paint is going to sit for a long time I add
alum to it. It is a wonderful preservative.
