Hi Kieran,

Some parents have come to me in the past and expressed an interest in
volunteering in my room. We put our heads together and figured out what
the parents strengths were, then planned lessons utilizing them.
One activity that had lots of moms in was crating soft sculpture people
using old pantyhose. Parents brought in their sewing machines and helped
students create clothes for their sculptured people. The students loved
it.
Others have come in and demonstrated their talents, such as
watercolor... that is one area that has so many approaches, and it is
always great to see someone elses ideas. It also helps students
understand that there are many ways to approach an activity.
I applaud your efforts and intents. Hope the school appreciates you!
