Hi everyone - Having just survived our All-School Art Exhibit (elementary), I
am back again! A colleague gave me a tip that proved extremely worthwhile, so
I am sharing it with you. On the day of our art exhibit opening, I scheduled
each class to visit briefly with their teacher so they could locate their
artwork before returning later with their parents. I kept a master list, so
everyone knew exactly what they were looking for. Students also checked labels
for errors, so there would be no disappointment for them and less stress for
me. It proved to be a really good thing. Most teachers cooperated, and my
fifth graders acted as guides for younger students. We were able to fix all
errors before the parents arrived. Good luck to those of you who may still
face this major event. It was wonderful but I am very glad it is over!
