Dear allsome, miss you, have been busy, but still found time to read
postings daily. Just haven't had time to write. Got a moment, a breather
in between k and 1st grade plays. (I have to make 22 masks, various
animals, kids can't do it because they are pulled from art to practice
their lines.) Anyway, as far as students who say they mess up, I usually
say, there are no mistakes in art, only changes. This helps. If they
really insist, I give them more paper. I try to start them out on
practice paper, and then they ask, what if the practice paper turns out
better than the good paper. Ogh! It never ends. For those who remember my
listings about K and puppets, we're still at it. They're turning out so
cute I can't believe it! As a first year teacher, I'am really relieved that
things are going so well. You guys can't imagine what a break it is to
know that you're all out there, with such great advice. I feel like
you're the mentors I don't have at school. So thanks a million,
zillion...Sincerely, Diane L.
