Hello ArtsEdNetters!

Two questions I would like to pose to all of you:

First, my high school art department just received a grant to purchase
a digital camera for use in recording portfolios, and for advanced
photo students to learn as well. I was wondering if you had any
suggestions as to different models. I am curious about the Sony
digital cameras, since they use an actually floppy disk for storage of
images.

Second, my high school is a tad unique in that we offer a semester
long class on cartooning. Being this is my first year teaching, and
never was I told in the university to prepare for teaching a
semester's worth of cartooning, I was wondering if any of you out
there do the same and/or if any of you have any suggestions on lesson
plans, ideas, and other resources. I have covered character
development, comic strips, editorial and commerical one panel
cartoons, and now I am just finishing up caricatures. Any help would
be greatly appreciated, as I am starting to run dry.

Thanks much, for this and all your great advice you give in every
digest!
